About

Your Healing & Success are My Top Priorities

"Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us." -David Richo No matter the struggle, big, small, or insurmountable, you will find acceptance and help here! My purpose is driven by the principles of love, kindness, and acceptance. I pride myself in providing unconditional acceptance, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for expressing one’s thoughts, feelings, and struggles. I practice therapeutic techniques blending cognitive-behavioral theory, mindfulness, EMDR, person-centered, rational emotive behavior therapy, and many others to help you gain insight and return to authentic living. This is where healing begins! I specialize in working with women and individuals in the LGBTQIA community, ages 12+. I focus on different areas of need such as self-esteem, parenting, communication, faith-crises and transitions, existential crises, LGBTQIA concerns (self-acceptance, coming out, faith struggles, etc.), self-harming, and suicidal thoughts just to name a few. Therapy with me includes: Authenticity: I bring my personal authenticity into each session to encourage you in finding and expressing your authenticity! Genuine Caring & Concern: Everyone needs to know they are cared for and accepted as they are, and it is important to me you feel this in our sessions. Expertise: I believe YOU are the expert in you and I am the expert in mental health. TOGETHER, as a team, we help you overcome your struggles and reach your goals. Holistic Care: I look at your whole picture: mind-body connections and make recommendations to meet with your doctor to address potential medical concerns. Treatment is customized and catered to meet your specific needs and goals. Friendly Atmosphere: We like to create an atmosphere like you are talking with a friend. Kind, loving, and honest without the stuffiness of therapy (we don't even care if you swear). Experience: I have 12+ years of therapy experience and 30+ years experience of doing my own therapy work. Telehealth: Offering Telehealth, making therapy easier than ever! Want to wear pajamas? Need therapy during your lunch break? No problem...Telehealth is the service for you! Confidentiality: I take confidentiality seriously! Even with my adolescent clients...I keep what you share private (unless it involves your safety or the safety of others)! I believe everyone needs a safe place to talk. What I offer: Initial Diagnostic Evaluation for new every client Individual Therapy for Ages 12+ Emergency Sessions Gender Affirming Care Unique understanding of the UT County culture Family Therapy (when needed) Text Therapy (not covered by insurance) Facts About Me: 1. This means you get to control the when, where, how, how much, and the who in how you share the details of your life." - "Life does not provide us a yellow brick road. To live one's life means building your path as you go. To build your path, lay down one brick at a time. Test it out. If it feels authentic, keep going. If it doesn't, just pick up the brick and move in a new direction!" - "Queens don't trifle with jokers!" - "Broccoli...not everyone likes it and some people LOVE IT! But it does not concern itself with who does or does not like it. It just goes on living its luscious broccoli life. So why not be like broccoli!" ***We charge a nonrefundable $50 deposit to hold an appointment for new clients.
